Small Days Out in the city

When your legs are tired, the Sat Nav needs a rest and your wallet depleted, then the cure is a small day out.

Our city has some undiscovered gems lying within it. Here is your guide to the less-trodden route, and less-expensive trips out.

Portslade

From its medieval centre in the Portslade Old Village conservation area, Portslade has much to offer to history fans, bargain seekers and families.

Highlights include free history trails, Mile  Oak farm, a reuse shopping superstore and an award winning park. For adults there are ancient pubs and gin tasting tours.
